From the moment you enroll at WNS, you become a part of an incredible community of families and educators who support each other and the school in many ways. There are countless opportunities for parents to be involved in the life of the school and make meaningful connections with other families.
The WNS Parent Group
Every parent is automatically a member of the WNS Parent Group, and there are no membership fees, dues, or required hours. The WNS Parent Group Board coordinates numerous volunteering opportunities for parents, such as reading in the library, serving hot lunch, and family fun events like the annual Book Fair, the Gala, and PartyBook! events. Parents have a variety of opportunities to meet other WNS families, to volunteer at the school, and to be involved in their child’s life at WNS.
Family Fun Events
Year round, WNS hosts a series of fun on-campus events for the whole family. From the start-of-year Block Party, to our LitChella reading and arts festival, bring your children, socialize with other parents, and feel a part of the WNS community.
Parent/ Caregiver Educational Events
At WNS, we believe that learning is a lifelong journey—and that includes our families. Throughout the year, we offer a range of educational opportunities designed to support and empower parents and caregivers. From our dynamic Speaker Series featuring experts in child development, education, and wellness, to focused Parent Education Nights on timely topics, these events foster community, spark meaningful dialogue, and provide valuable tools for raising confident, compassionate, and curious children.
Parent/ Caregiver Affinity Groups
At WNS, we believe that building an inclusive community begins with connection. Our Parent/ Caregiver Affinity Groups offer spaces for parents and caregivers to come together around shared identities, experiences, or interests. These groups, led by parents themselves, provide a supportive environment for dialogue, reflection, and community-building—helping families feel seen, heard, and valued. Open to all who wish to participate, Parent/ Caregiver Affinity Groups are an important part of our school’s ongoing commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging.
PartyBook! Events
Every year at WNS, parents open up their homes, their interests, and their culture to share with the community through a collection of PartyBook! events. These events build community and raise valuable dollars for WNS.
Many events are family friendly, and others are for adults only so you can connect with other parents and enjoy an evening out!

The WNS Gala & Auction
The WNS Gala is the premier social and fundraising event of the year for the WNS community! The famed auction provides parents the opportunity to bid on everything from private jet charters to box-suite tickets. Not only is this a community-building opportunity but it’s also a chance to raise valuable dollars that go to work immediately to make WNS a better place for our students.
