Student Highlights
From championship titles and record-breaking performances to inspiring artistic achievements and academic excellence, 2024–25 was a year of remarkable accomplishments for WNS students. Across athletics, the arts, and academic competitions, our Jets demonstrated skill, teamwork, creativity, and determination—while staying true to the values that make our community special. Whether breaking league records, earning top honors in debate and mock trial, or sharing their voices on stage, our students inspired us all with their talent, hard work, and spirit.
Athletics

Theatre Arts
From high-energy musicals to vibrant cultural celebrations, the performing arts at WNS took center stage in 2024–25. With all students involved, our community enjoyed an unforgettable year of live performances. Read on to learn about the shows that made this a standout year for the arts.


Festival Choir
The WNS Festival Choir hit all the right notes at the Forum Festival in Fullerton, earning a Silver Rating and placing in the top 20% of middle school choirs. With a performance just shy of Gold and a special Outstanding Musicianship Award for 8th grader Anna C., it was a shining moment for our vocalists.


Mock Trial & Debate
WNS teams had a standout year! Eighth grader Blakeley F. placed 7th at the Harvard-Westlake Debate Tournament, while the Mock Trial team advanced to the semifinals of the LA County competition. Sixth grader Sabine S. earned Outstanding Witness, and Blakeley F. received Outstanding Clerk!


2nd Grade Changemakers
In the second grade Changemaker unit, students research and bring to life inspiring figures who have made a difference. This year featured a special full-circle moment with WNS alum Zoie Brogdon ’19—read on to see the impact.
