WNS Matriculation
The High School Placement Process
Every year, WNS 8th graders matriculate into a wide range of prestigious and highly regarded secondary schools. Our graduates transition successfully into private, public, charter, boarding, and specialized programs. Each student receives personalized, one-on-one counseling to guide them through this exciting and important process.
The high school placement journey begins in 7th grade, when students and families start working closely with school leadership to explore the best-fit options. Our Head of School and Assistant Head of School meet individually with each family to develop tailored strategies and establish a clear timeline. Throughout the process, our dedicated Secondary School Placement Counselor manages all application materials and correspondence on behalf of WNS.
This partnership continues into 8th grade, as we support each student and family every step of the way—ensuring a thoughtful, confident, and successful transition to high school.

"My time at WNS - particularly during the middle school years - undoubtedly set the foundation for my life. During these years, I began lifelong friendships, created strong bonds with my teachers, learned my academic strengths, and what truly makes me happy. I can confidently say that skills I learned and the bonds I created in my WNS days still impact my life today."Hareena Johnson - WNS Class of 2014, Marymount High School, 2018, Trinity College (Hartford), 2022, Ross School of Veterinary Medicine, 2028.
